This is a discounted bundle deal for the HDMI variant of our VW virtual dashboards which have a compatible head unit to go with them!
So, what does the HDMI virtual cockpit offer over the AirPlay/CarPlay versions?
Well, when connected with a compatible head unit, the HDMI virtual dashboard will mirror the display of your central infotainment screen.
On the RCD360, only the App Connect section can be mirrored, so if you’re on Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, anything you display will mirror to the dashboard, however other sections (for example, FM Radio), will not mirror.
If you purchase this bundle with our RCD360 head-unit, you will receive a wireless HDMI to USB-C dongle with your kit, meaning your Apple CarPlay / Android Auto will be completely wireless!
As for our Android head-unit, only our head unit that we sell is currently compatible for the HDMI mirroring, if you have your own Android head unit, we can not confirm that it will work for mirroring.
The great news with our Android head unit + HDMI cockpit is; it mirrors ALL screens from the infotainment screen!
YouTube, Netflix, Maps, even your aftermarket camera will display on the virtual dashboard if you have one installed! The Android head unit allows 100% mirroring capability, so whatever is on the central infotainment screen, will mirror to the dashboard.
About our virtual dashboard:
This is an active info display which can be fitted into a range of VW Models without the need for any programming or coding.
To clarify, this virtual cluster is not a genuine VW part, and is made for the purpose of fitting in vehicles which never had the option in the first place, or as a cheaper alternative to the cars that do offer a genuine version.
The fitting procedure again does not require coding, but does require you to remove your original motherboard from your speedometer & transfer it into the new digital speedometer.
It also means that all of the information displayed on the new virtual dash is precise & accurate, so you don’t need to worry about anything being inaccurate - it’s simply displaying all the info from your analog speedo on a digital one, due to the original motherboard being used.
Now the boring part is out of the way, let’s run over some of the features!
